The Comparative Mortality of the Towns in the Nadia District

of the Civil Surgeon, Nadia, I have tried to study the comparative health of the nine principal towns of the Nadia district for the last ten years. I have calculated from these statistical data the average of the total deaths for each of the towns for the last ten previous years commencing from the year 1904. I have tried to represent graphically these average deaths of the previous ten years, along with the actual deaths for the year under consideration in the form of charts, the averages of the total deaths of the previous ten years being printed in dotted lines, while the actual total deaths being printed in black lines. I shall take this opportunity to thank Dr. Jitendra Nath Bannerjee, a medical practitioner of the town, for his kind assistance in preparing these charts.
